RAPP UK named Campaign’s Customer Engagement Agency of the Year

April 25, 2023

We are delighted to have been named Campaign’s Agency of the Year, Customer Engagement as well as Head of Agency (Customer Engagement) for the brilliant Chris Freeland.

The wins, along with being shortlisted in Strategic Leader for Caroline Parkes and the Talent Management category were a crowning achievement following a stand-out year for us.

We had our best ever year for performance-driven creative, during which time we grew by 17% to become the biggest customer engagement agency in the UK.

We reinvented loyalty for IKEA and KFC, employed smart behavioural nudges that saved the BBC millions and for Fumble tackled toxic masculinity.

We harnessed tech and data – from AI to content intelligence, from martech to a clever DE&I tool – to deliver disproportionate results for clients.

True to our ‘Standing Up for Individuality’ mantra, we set up industry-leading people initiatives – such as our school holiday initiative, our fertility support programme and our DE&I assessment tool.

With top-down drive and the unrivalled passion and drive of Chris Freeland and Gabby Ludzker  we met 80% of our DE&I targets, with a 9% increase in BAME representation on our leadership team and our staff retention increased by 6%.

And, as a result of all of this, we retained our clients and 80% increased spend. And we attracted £41m in new business billings, making 2022 our best ever new business year.

It’s thanks to our wonderful clients and our brilliant people, who really are the very best at what they do, that we’ve achieved this recognition. Amazing work team! And a big thank you to everyone at Campaign Magazine UK and the client judges to who voted for us.
