RAPP NY WELCOMES MOA NETTO

September 12, 2017

RAPP Worldwide, a global creative agency that builds direct, meaningful and high-value relationships between brands and people, and part of the DAS Group of Companies, has brought in Moacyr (Moa) Netto as Chief Creative Officer of RAPP’s flagship New York office.

Netto will oversee all of the office’s creative output, reporting directly into New York President Justin Thomas-Copeland and serving on the agency’s Leadership Team.

“Moa brings with him to New York a history of creating groundbreaking work and an enviable number of awards and jury experiences. He possesses a fierce talent and a track record of utilizing creativity to solve clients’ business problems through engagement, experiences and immersive story telling,” Thomas-Copeland said. “He combines creative vision with a proven ability and willingness to lead from the front and take work from good to great to truly outstanding. His leadership, experience, charisma and knack for attracting and nurturing top talent will help RAPP continue to deliver on its promise of creating transformative work for our clients. We’re thrilled about what lies ahead with Moa on the team.”

“I’m excited to join RAPP, an agency with a 50+ year heritage in the dissection and utilization of data to drive connected customer engagement at an individual level,” Netto said. “I believe that when you combine the power of RAPP’s data intelligence with top class creativity that can touch peoples’ emotions and move them to action in unexpected ways, you can achieve exponential results for clients. And, equally, if not more importantly, also make a lasting difference to individuals’ lives.”

Netto joins RAPP New York from W3haus, Brazil’s largest independent digital agency, where he served as Creative Vice President and led the agency to four Cannes Lions wins in 2016. Over the course of his near 20 years in the business, Netto has lead, and worked with, creative teams at Brazilian shops including AlmapBBDO, OGILVY São Paulo and DM9DDB. During his tenure at these agencies, he’s amassed 150 advertising awards, including D&AD, Clio, London International Advertising Awards, One Show, Webbys, DMA Echo Awards and 21 Cannes Lions, among many others.
